Merchant Inns is an award‐winning company with a passion for restoring freehold inns and offering outstanding food, stylish surroundings and inviting prices. Retaining the essence of the traditional English country inn and being an integral part of the local community are at the heart of our philosophy.
We have a collection of historic 4‐star inns, all in rural but easily accessible locations throughout the UK. Each one is sympathetically restored and refurbished, yet given a modern twist.
Most of our inns have between 5 and 45 stylish bedrooms. All are traditionally timeless in decor with solid wood furniture, calming, muted colour schemes and upscale bathrooms. All offer home from home comforts such as comfy thick duvets, thick and fluffy towels, luxurious toiletries, plasma screen TVs and free Wi-Fi access.
Each of our inns is unique with its own charm, personality and character, all however can be identified by the Merchant Inns signature of high quality food, informal, inviting surroundings and professional, yet relaxed service.
Important Notice – On 12 October 2009, Neville Kahn and Nick Edward were appointed Joint Administrators and now manage the affairs, business and property of Merchant Inns Group Limited and Merchant Inns Limited.
